MECHANICAL ENGINEER
DUTIES:
Plan and design mechanical components of Fluid Bed Thermal Processing Equipment including catalyst activators, reactors and dryers. Prepare pressure vessel calculations to the ASME Code. Prepare layouts of equipment, piping, piping support systems, and pressure vessels. Oversee draftsmen and other technical employees with responsibility for layouts, assemblies, details, bills of material and other related drawings and documents. Analyze the use of standard materials in the fabrication of pressure vessels and piping systems. Analyze design for conformity to industry standards and engineering department specifications for materials and design including pipe, pipe fittings, pipe supports, standard hardware, piping and instrument diagrams. Maintain an engineering document control system.
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering and 2 years experience in design of components used in thermal processing products, high temperatures applications and systems for heavy manufacturing industries per ASME codes; prepare and review design layouts for equipment and piping systems.
Travel: Approximately 10% travel per year (3-4 weeks international & 1-2 weeks U.S.) to customer sites for technical discussions, overseeing installation and commissioning of equipment.
